Tyler Durden is one of the coolest written characters of all time. Must have been a blast writing this movie. The suspense & twist on this character makes for a thrilling reveal on a first watch, but the movies plot & entertainment don't rely on this reveal overtly, making a 2nd or 100th rewatch just as enjoyable.
Themes of Fight Club aren't too preachy or on the nose either. It lets its critique of capitalism, toxic masculinity & consumer culture be known, but lets the main character(s) take the driver seat of the film more than anything.
Visuals and costumes were really well done. The lighting of each location had its own unique vibe so it stuck with us. Each character had his or her own unique visuals that let them stand out each time they were on screen. Tyler's shades & eccentric outfits, Marla's cigarettes, Bob's huge rack. The Fight Club/Project Mayhem members all eventually having buzzcuts & wearing all black. 'Fight Club' has its own aesthetic that makes it a very fun watch every time.
